So, because people need monks, monks should feel free to powertrip and owe less to the group?

Anyone in any of my groups who thinks they owe less to the group because of who they are deserves a good kick in the ass.

I really dislike the system of using consets from 1-8 because if someone doesn't play a monk or whatever, they're stuck always providing, and the backline get away without contributing.

No, I have never used a conset in the DoA, or anywhere that is.

The ursans in DoA are the ones who use the Consets, I have only seen a few monks to use a Conset (but that was due to it running out in mid battle and everyone was arguing over who would use theres).

I wouldn't bring any consumables from crafter as it is a gold sink and let others bring them.I have other plans for my gold and mats.I had debate about res scolls bringing them over a hard res.I take a hard res any day over res scrolls.Consumables take up space to.

i monk in DoA all the time and i always offer to pay for or use cons myself. i chose to be a monk in DoA. others chose ursan. one can't succeed without the other. well maybe an 8 monk team could with the right build but that's beside the point. not only that but half of the people in DoA have "Mo/E" floating abover their heads. i almost have more problems finding proper ursans than proper monks most of the time. anyone can beat NF, cap a few skills and slap them into a cookie cutter skill bar. ursans actually have to grind out two titles to be effective.

i think it's BS when a monk refuses to be part of the group by saying he's not paying for the cons and/or supplying some of his/her own. it can be argued that monks get more benefit from the cons than the ursans anyway. what does an ursan need +1 for all his attributes for. it doesn't affect norn rank at all. the extra armor really helps out most monks moreso than ursans also. not only does it mitigate some damage on the ursans, thereby making my job a little easier, but it gives me armor also. i don't know about you guys but i run a full survivor set which means i have no extra bonus armor on my guy.

you can't use the excuse "i keep the team alive" you're a monk. that's what you're supposed to do. that's what you chose to do. plus what happens in the event of a party wipe? you didn't do your job then. sometimes it isn't your fault that leeroy overaggroed, but sometimes you used the wrong skill at the wrong time and sometimes you aren't paying attention to the radar and you're the one that didn't see the other group coming up from behind and they hit your bubble.

plus, 7k, really??? if you are in DoA and don't have 7k to either buy your own set, or 1k to give to the guy that does have a set, then go do some solo farming first. go run CoF a couple times and you should have 20-30k in about 2 hours. then go back to DoA and be a teammate instead of an elitist.

one more thing, i hate ursan groups. but if i want to clear elite areas in a decent time and don't have enough guildmates online to make a group, i'm going to choose ursan over a bunch of people casting firestorm on rangers and sins trying to tank warriors.

i personally have never brought cons to the table as a monk, thanks to my usual group telling me and the other monk "you guys are already doing enough as it is", and no, we don't run ursan.

A monk used a conset in my brothers mallyx run last night. The whole party ended paying him 900g each for it though. My brother didnt want to pay him so the guy threatened to report him for scamming lol.

I dont mind who brings the conset, but I dont think anybody has the right to bring one and ask for payment.

Honestly though.. No you should not but neither should anyone. I'm serious when I say a competent ursan group does not need in any way cons.

The reason ppl use ursan is speed and ease. Conset=more speed and easiness.

I agree with scythe. Why should you pay for a conset when its not you that wants or needs them to heal.

I say NO...........monks or none of the other Ursans should be forced to provide Consets............ The person that wants to use Consets should provide them, I don't care for consets because FOW/UW HM is easy.

monks in an ursan group shouldnt have to use them because theyre the only ones in the group using any sort of skill.
